Ideas to pursue from Ms. Stotler:

Economic sustainability: microfinancing in developing nations, sustainability of U.S. auto industry if they receive bailout $, personal finance sustainability: balancing debt with reality

Foreign aid: What should the U.S. be giving aid for? Notion of give them fish or teach them to fish? Why should we be giving foreign aid when we have our own problems to solve?

Sustaining levels of higher education in the U.S.: Are we falling behind due to sky-high tuition and costs? Is college debt hurting our economy when young people can't afford to buy houses, cars, etc., because they're paying back student loans?

Sustainability of U.S. as world's superpower? Is our current role in the world as economic, military and political leader sustainable? She we be the world's policeman? Or should we take our place as "an equal among nations"? (William Ayers interview on NPR)

Income gap - Can we sustain healthy societies and a healthy global community when gaps between rich and poor continue to grow? History says no...

Ideas from Ms. Morris:
My "article" is from NPR's Morning Edition, and it's an interview with Michael Pollan. It's here. I hope we can listen to it together.

Ideas from Ms. Jenkins:
