Ardath, this was such a great experience! Thank you so much for setting it up for our class. I would be interested in going back another day if the opportunity presented itself.

I'm an ENTP, it fits, particularly the part about me bouncing ideas off of other people.

I think it would be a good idea to have everyone start their own page with their project and they can keep all their research on their page so not only the teachers can view the progress but everyone can see what their ideas are. It's better than saving to Word and no one being able to view it. You could always change whats on your page and personalize it to your project (pictures, videos, etc.)

I found this article on a site.. itsn't it awesome what new technology can do!! Oct. 25/06: At an Edmonton hospital, the Royal Alex, a blinking wireless pill is currently being used to take photographs of the inside of a patient. After fasting overnight, the patient swallows the capsule which then travels through the body taking 2 pictures per second. The data is transmitted to a recorder that the patient wears with a harness. The tiny camera takes about 57,000 images which pick up subtle changes in the small bowel: inflammations, blood vessels, and abnormalities. The one time use pill was expelled 8 to 72 hours later. The cost for one pill in 2006 was about $1,000. [source: Carrie McFadzean, Edmonton Examiner, Oct. 25/06]

This class is becoming more and more confusing to me regarding "guidelines". Do we have to use them? I just want to know so I don't do anything wrong.

China:
We're giving you lots of potential guidelines hoping that you'll find something that works specifically for you. In giving you a lot to use, we're trying to not limit you. Maybe this is confusing, but I think that's part of the learning process, too.
The bottom line is this, and I think the other teachers will agree: when we want something specific, we'll ask you for it. Otherwise, take and use what you need. If you're not getting what you need, come ask, and we'll do our best.
How about we conference next week in the media center?

My mom got an e-mail concerning Palin's stand on aerial hunting...
So I went to Factcheck.org... but there were no posts about it, so I sent an e-mail and then realized there was a direct way to post a question- however, I'm not sure how to do this...
does anyone know how?

I've been thinking about our discussion today, and I think a cartoon thread is a great way to post here. I'm hoping that everyone can find some cartoons to post and analyze. Advance warning: I can't make the HTML work (I need someone to teach me, please.), so you'll have to paste addresses into a new browser window.
A good source is <politicalcartoons.com>, but it's blocked by our server. It even has teacher guides!
Go to <http://www.cagle.com/politicalcartoons/pccartoons/archives/beeler.asp?Action=GetImage> for an image that relates to our discussion today.
What do you think? Let's see some analysis.
